2007 Graduate Trainee Recruitment Programme What We Offer Our Selection Process Steve Baldwin 2004 Graduate
I joined Digby Morgan in Summer 2004 having applied and been accepted through the Graduate Training Program. Having returned from working in a school in Australia, I wanted to work in something that was fast-paced, challenging and rewarding. Working as an Associate in the HR Resourcing team certainly fulfilled that desire. From initially supporting and learning from established Consultants, I quickly began to work directly with the clients allocated to me and have built up my own network of business relationships. As I progressed through the Graduate Training Program, I was able to begin to bring in new clients to Digby Morgan in a diverse range of organisations whilst developing my own particular style and contributing in general to the HR Resourcing team. By continuing to work closely with my clients and building business across unknown territory, I was able be promoted to the position of Consultant, particularly from my work with existing Professional Services clients such as Deloitte and well known organisations like the BBC. When I was offered the chance to move into the Commerce section of Digby Morgan, it was a natural progression from my experience with these brand names and a great opportunity to learn from the years of recruitment knowledge in the team. From there I was able to develop my client base to the next level and start taking on more retained work in a more structured and business partnering approach, pitching for opportunities and providing a reliable and professional service to new clients like ICI and the Princes Trust. In less than three years I’ve progressed from no recruitment experience to working with global heads of HR on a daily basis. |
